Amanda + Taylor {Brittnay Therese Photography}

We LOVED this wedding by Brittnay Therese Photography so much we wanted to share it with you! We are blessed to call Brittnay a friend and were honored to film her own wedding (a few posts back!). She’s such a talented artist, not only great at photography but also makeup/hair, just a full artistic sense all around.
Amanda and Taylor had beautiful wedding on the beach in Destin, FL. The bride and her girls dressed in a beachside cottage, with Brittnay there capturing every moment. She had an adorable custom hanger for her dress, featuring her new last name. Her Steve Madden sandals were the best choice for spending her happiest day on the beach.
Their outdoor ceremony on the sand was filled with love and their closest family and friends. Royal Blue and Teal were the perfect color combination to contrast against the white of the sand and sky. The men were outfitted in gray suits, casual yet elegant, still making the blue colors pop. Their sunset photos were timed perfectly, with the sky filled with soft colors to compliment their day.
Post wedding all their guests were ushered to the hall for a reception and dance. Her simple cake was elegant, fitting in perfectly with the day. The starfish decor really tied the reception and ceremony together. A dance ensued following dinner where the bride and groom shared their first dance, followed by the bride dancing with her father and the groom with his mother.
Overall, another stunning wedding by one of our talented friends. We love to watch her photography grow with each project and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Wedding Videography Tip #2 | First Look
Our goal is always to create the most amazing video possible for your wedding day, and while we always work with that in mind, there are little things YOU can do to help make sure things flow perfectly.
Videography Tip #2 | First Look
As one of the debated topics among wedding industry professionals as well as brides to be, it’s something that can add a whole new element to the wedding day. Most girls grow up dreaming of a large, white wedding with your groom seeing you for the first time as you walk down the aisle. As we get older, traditions have changed and more couples than ever are opting for a “First Look” or a “First Reveal” before the actual ceremony.
So what’s the benefit? Think of this way. During the ceremony, there are SO many things going on. You’re being escorted by your father down a long aisle, trying to remember smile as you are surrounded by 100+ of your closest friends and family, trying to focus on your handsome groom standing at the end.. chances are he has seen you well before you see him. You could miss his reaction – or, he may be so taken by beauty that he wants to cry, but is embarrassed to in front of 100+ people. Instead, imagine this: You walking up, tapping your groom on the shoulder, taking in every moment of his reaction while you two relish in the moment that this IS your wedding day. It’s here. And it’s really happening. Why not take a few minutes together alone, exchange gifts, or just take a breather in what will be the most whirlwind day of your life. It’s a way to ensure you not only get to see his complete reaction to you in your stunning dress (because you tried on hundreds to find the perfect one!) but also to give yourselves a few minutes of togetherness.
As for the video, the first look adds so much to your film – the tears, the joy, the smiles, most importantly the LOVE between you will shine through adding emotion and passion to your film, taking you right back to that moment every time you watch it.
But not to worry – You will still glow with happiness as you walk down the aisle, but now you just get to take in the moment. And trust me, it will still take his breath away. 🙂
Wedding Videography Tip #1 | Natural Light
Our goal is always to create the most amazing video possible for your wedding day, and while we always work with that in mind, there are little things YOU can do to help make sure things flow perfectly.
Wedding Videography Tip #1 | Natural Light
Of course you want to look like a rockstar on your wedding day, and while we are there to film the magic of it all happening, lighting is such a key element to how that will look on film. Natural light outside or through windows will make you look like your best YOU on the film. Any great makeup artist will tell you that its much better to sit next to a window while applying than under a lamp or a fluorescent light, which can cast shades of orange or yellow onto your skin. Not only that, it gives us the ability to be creative with shadows, outlines, and silhouettes which can look amazing on film. It also provides a cleaner, more neutral background that isn’t quite so distracting as being in a salon with chairs, people, and products in the background of the shot. Something to think about when planning where to get ready for your big day!

I’m not even sure where to begin with this one.. These two are a match made in heaven. I’ve been lucky enough to know Brittnay since college, where we met at a Leadership Retreat. One of the things that stands out to me the most is how she opened up about the struggles of being a single parent while trying to finish school and I remember thinking what a strong person she truly was. Their engagement came quick, but their faith in God and each other has never wavered and they are two of the happiest people I have ever been blessed to be around.
Their February wedding day was unusually foggy, something that is said to never happen down here on the coast. I say it’s just like rain on the wedding day.. “lucky!” It only made sense for them to rent a beach home on the water for their family and friends to stay in as a group. They were married at the beach by Henderson Park, in a small and beautiful ceremony. Guests were invited to stand around them while they recited their own personal vows that were written with the extraordinary love they have for each other.
Once the ceremony was over, guests walked down the street to LA Lounge for a reception. This isn’t a normal reception venue, but Hunter and his band Heritage have played their numerous times. The owner was generous enough to let them rent the space for the evening. The reception was a “VIP Rockstar” theme – complete with “backstage passes” as favors, butterfly rainbow cupcakes, and Heritage taking the stage for an hour. For the party, Brittnay changed into a short, custom made dress that used the lace from her mother’s wedding dress – How cool is that! She even had a surprise for Hunter — She learned the song “Valentine” by Kira Grannis and came out on stage to sing the number in front of everyone, while Destin’s own Dannica Lowery accompanied on guitar. After toasts, the Love Story video that we created was shown, and was a huge hit with their guests.
Overall, the day was amazing in it’s own right, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Also, here are some kick ass photos from their day by one of our favs.. Pure 7 Studios!
