We work with a lot of photographers who all struggle with the same thing – How do I set myself apart from other photographers and let my clients get to know me a little better? It always comes back to one main thing – A Photographer Promo Video!

We first met Ashley Nichole Photography a few months ago when she reached out to see if we wanted to grab coffee. Being a huge fan of meeting new people, naturally we accepted and met up with her down at the Badass Coffee Company on old 98. From the second we sat down, we hit it off immediately. Ashley had ideas of how she wanted the video to look, and needed us to help her bring it to life. We met a few times getting a script and a shot list compiled, so we could best use our time on the day we had planned to film it.

We began with her car shots, which worked surprisingly well since she drives a convertible. It turned into some driving shots, which led us over to Seaside. That area is incredibly beautiful, so we had no trouble finding a perfect place to film. We did a short interview overlooking the water behind her, and then filmed her walking through the water at sunset, which ended up being the perfect shot to close the video.

It was so much fun working with not only her, but our beautiful bride and family. We simply fell in love with the daughter Glo (short for Gloria – Adorable, I know!) and she made our day. I included a few images below from Ashley Nichole Photography, and if you like her style, I encourage you to give her a call!

Outdoor Heel Tips for Grass

We want to introduce you to the best invention for outdoor weddings – Outdoor heel tips!

Outdoor Heel Tips

One of the biggest challenges we see with outdoor weddings (or simply the photo session!) on grass or gravel is when the bride or bridesmaids high heels sink into the ground. It makes it extremely difficult to walk, and if you’ve ever been walking down the aisle for the ceremony afraid of falling, you know exactly what I mean!

Outdoor heel tips for walking on grass or dirt consist of a small piece of rubber that fits on the bottom of the heel tip, that adds a quarter size for much easier balance and walking stability. They can be purchased clear in color to match any shoe and will blend in with the ground so as to not draw attention to it. Also available in black to help fit all shoes.

For the cost of the product, you really can’t go wrong — Click here to buy on Amazon.com for around $7/per pair.

This was such a special day for us! We were extremely excited to work with these two. They were married in the front yard of their private ranch. The red colors really popped against the green grass and white chairs. The couple had chose a hunting theme, and it was done in the most perfect way possible. Antler decor, flowers with a rustic feel, cow bells, and koozies that read “He took a shot, she said yes!”

The ceremony was stunning – The bride walked out the front door of their home, down the aisle and her dad gave her away. There were two solos by one of her good friends and beautiful vows that united them as one. It was a very low key, intimate feel with lots of emotion. A receiving line happened at the end of the aisle where the couple greeted their guests and had a moment to tell everyone hello.

After the wedding, more photos ensued. The wedding party took a small bus that drove into town for drinks at the small town bar. Tons of photos, shots, and fun moments, all captured on film. There were a few stops on the way back to the ranch for photos, making use of the beautiful sky, clouds, and sun.

The wedding party was introduced into a tented reception next to the house. Tree branches, antlers, and flowers covered the room in an elegant manner. Every detail was planned to follow the ranch theme, down the bullet casings in the boutonnieres. The couple cut their cake, were served dinner, and danced the night away while the Innocence Band rocked the stage.

Turks and Caicos Wedding

We were thrilled when we got the call for a Turks and Caicos wedding with these two to capture all the memories of their special day. The bride is a wedding planner and the groom also films weddings, so he has been a friend for years! We couldn’t have been happier to help them capture their memories in such a gorgeous place.

The island was small and beautiful, with only a handful of family and friends in attendance, it was the perfect, intimate setting. Everything was perfectly orchestrated down to the tiniest details – a gorgeous circular shaped wedding set up allowed every guest the best seat in the house. They also opted for an unplugged ceremony, letting their professionals capture all the moments and allowing their guests to really be present in the moment.

Immediately following the ceremony, the guests were treated to a cocktail hour on the beach, with hors de’ourves and wine while an musician played authentic island music for everyone to enjoy. The bride and groom had their first dance at sunset, with feet in the water. Once dark, the guests lit paper lanterns and sent them off into the sky.

They had a gorgeous, colorful reception on the property inside the resort where they cut the cake, toasts were given, and a delicious meal was served. The intimate setting let all the guests enjoy each others company and get to know each other. The day couldn’t have gone any better – This one is a must watch!
