I’m Cali Hlavac (said like Kay-Lee) and I’m in LOVE with weddings. More importantly, I’m in love with capturing all the happiness and love that are present on the wedding day. We all know the only things left after a wedding day is over are the photos + videos, plus a worn out wedding dress.. I love giving couples a fantastic memory of their wedding day, one that truly captures the voices, the tears, the joy, the family and the love, all while telling the story of you as a couple.

Wedding Video Emerald Coast

This Wedding Video Emerald Coast is one of our favorite films to date! Zac and Jess had their special day in one location, but the decor and separation of the room was perfect. The day started out with a bang when we showed up at the hotel to meet them, just in time to see a surprise proposal happening right out front! We were able to capture some photos and video of that right before Zac and Jess walked in to start getting ready.

Jess had a friend do her hair and makeup while we shot her dress, shoes, jewelry and rings. Lane Photographics worked alongside us to capture the wedding day. The dress was a stunning strapless one from Ellynne Bridal, which happens to be owned by Zac’s mother, Lynn. After both were dressed and ready, they had their first look out front the hotel. The beam of perfect sunlight shined through the trees and cast a gorgeous lens flare on the moment. We then proceeded to take photos outside near the hotel before packing up and heading to the venue.

The ceremony was short and sweet with the couple writing their own beautiful vows to each other. It was evident to everyone in the room that these two shared a bond and love that is real and rare. It went smoothly, until the officiant wanted to introduce them out but realized they had forgotten to exchange rings! One of those memories they will never forget.

After the kiss and exit, they mingled with guests, shared a few drinks and laughs before the reception events kicked off. Their signature drink was a hit, as was the decorated furniture sections for the guests to relax and enjoy. The band was leading the way with dinner, toasts, cake cutting, and dancing. The night flew by, with many memories made and captured, that we can’t wait to share with you.

Country Wedding Video

When we first got the call to be a part of this beautiful country wedding video, it was the bride’s older sister who was planning an epic surprise for their reception. At this time, they weren’t planning on having a videographer but her mother and older sister were not about to let that happen. We worked out a way to surprise her not only with day of videography, but also with a Same Day Edit at the reception! She found out about her day of videography surprise at the rehearsal and was so thrilled we were going to be there with her.

The day started with all the bridesmaids getting ready in the hotel room, where we first met everyone. Grandma and grandpa were hanging on the couch, hair and makeup was in full force, and we saw the dress hanging in the corner. It’s always the most perfect time to get some beautiful shots of it and other details like jewelry and shoes. We chose the elevator shot because the motion of the doors adds so much to the shot. Once we had the girls dressed and ready, we headed to the reception site to meet the guys for the first look.

We were able to get so many stunning images outside near the barn, an old truck, and inside with the log cabin country feel. The chemistry was real and very evident in all of our footage! The ceremony was flawless, with her coming down the aisle and being given away, to the perfect vows, to the kiss and exit. The guests were ushered out by the couple, followed by an exit with rose petals being thrown.

And then — Party time! The party bus drove around and stopped at a bar, and then meeting the photographer downtown for additional photos before entering the reception at the hotel. One of our favorite parts is getting in the reception hall before guests do so we can get clean shots of the decor and tablescapes. The uplighting added so much to the room, and the gorgeous cake was simple yet elegant. The evening flew by and before we know it, the toasts led into our surprise Same Day Edit, that shocked everyone in the room. It went off without a hitch and the couple couldn’t have been happier!
