With an amazing view of the Destin Harbor, it’s no surprise why so many couples choose the Emerald Grande for their wedding venue. Every room overlooks the water which stretches as far as the eye can see, and half of them overlook the wedding deck inside. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to work with these two love birds on their wedding day — here’s the story of Gary and Ashley’s Emerald Grande wedding videography.
Gary was a semi pro baseball player who met Ashley while she was a waitress in college. The two clicked instantly and it wasn’t long before they knew it was meant to be forever. They traveled to Destin for their destination wedding, and their family, wedding party and guests all stayed at the Emerald Grande. They chose not to see each other before the wedding, but we did a photo on the balcony where they exchanged gifts and cards while holding hands around the corner of the building. The day was a little windy but we rolled with it, finding spots for photos that still had the view. Gandy Photographers traveled down with them, and worked side by side with us throughout the entire day.

The decor and the catering was handled by the Emerald Grande, and the reception was complete with a cocktail hour and a packed dance floor. We loved all the details they chose, including a bottle opener with their names and wedding date as their favors. They are on the guestbook table next to koozies and photos of themselves. We knew it would be a party crowd, and we weren’t disappointed! The DJ played all the right songs and the floor was full all night long.
